Here’s the thing, through: there are sooo many related dichotomies: head and heart, internal and external, intellect and emotion, physical and metaphysical, corporeal and spiritual, core and peripheral, software and hardware. I guess the closest I can come to your quote is the difference between seeing any perceiving, but even then I wouldn’t name the heart as the organ of perception. The heart is for loving and the eyes are merely the portals ro admit the image of the object of affection. The heart takes the image and adores it, dotes on it, worships it and ultimately gets accustomed to it at which point habituation tips the feelings over to ennui in the same way that familiarity breeds contempt. It takes a lot of work to prevent this from happening.
        What do your other readers think, I wonder.
